Sir Jackie Stewart

Oil on canvas 140 x 125cm

In May 2025 Louise’s painting commissioned by the Royal Automobile Club was unveiled by Sir Jackie Stewart in the presence of His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent, His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent and Lady Helen Taylor. The painting was commissioned to celebrate the motor racing legend’s lifetime of achievements and legacy.

Sir Jackie commented "..the painting is quite remarkable.. A beautiful piece and many thanks for such an incredible display of talent”

An extract from Louise’s speech given at the unveiling:

"The brief was to depict Sir Jackie alongside Lady Helen Stewart, Their Royal Highnesses Princess Grace, and Prince Rainier. In learning more about Lady Helen's crucial role through Sir Jackie's career and life, it seemed important that this painting also serve to record their inspiring partnership and devotion to one another. My aim was to capture the atmosphere and the glamour of these moments and this era, with the tone and character of a time-worn image. To honour the sheer courage of the racing driver, the painting also had to be bold. The red background acts as a nod the Monaco podium, red carpet and of course the Monacan flag.”
