The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment

Oil on Canvas [1m x 3m]

Louise Pragnell’s "Officers of the Household Cavalry” was unveiled in 2010 by HRH The Princess Royal.
It is a modern version of an original 1857 painting. At 3 metres long, it features 25 officers serving with the Household Cavalry.
It represents the contemporary face of the long-established regiment with the inclusion of female officers, in addition to officers from Africa and India.
Officers of the Household Cavalry hangs in the mess hall at the regimental headquarters in Knightsbridge.
Louise was the first woman to be awarded such a commission.
