KOKO

Louise is an honorary member of the House of KOKO in Camden.

KOKO has been around for 120 years and is regarded as one of the UK’s most iconic music venues. Its stage has played host to Charlie Chaplin, The Rolling Stones, The Clash and Madonna (as well as Prince and Kanye). The hotly anticipated reopening of the 5,000-square-foot venue took place in 2022. Spread over several floors it now incorporates a members club complete with cocktail lounge, piano bar, vinyl rooms and state-of-the-art broadcasting studio.

Louise has been doing some live sketching during performances. These paintings were created from Patrons’ evening in November 2022 in Ellen’s bar at House of KOKO.

As the owner of one of the capital’s few major independent cultural venues, Olly Bengough says "It’s about creating a space where things can break and collide – where things are alive – that’s where movements begin, and the new story is written.”
